Janet Mackenbach, 64

Janet S. Mackenbach, 64, 12012 Evans Road, Mendon, died at 9:55 a.m. Friday, Oct. 28, 2011, at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima.
She was born Dec. 1, 1946, in Buckland, the daughter of Leota (King) and Gerald Shoffstall. On April 20, 1964, in Wapakoneta, she married Thomas A. Mackenbach, who died Oct. 5, 2006.
Surviving are two sons, Thomas A. Mackenbach, Jr., of Mendon, and Tim (Tracy Smith) Mackenbach, of Celina; three daughters, Brenda (John) Todd of Celina, Beth (Bobby Morris) Slone, of Rockford, and Becky (Mike Posada) Mackenbach, of Celina; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three sisters, Charlotte (Lyle) Compton, of St. Marys, Nancy Dials, of St. Marys, and Bonnie (Ballard) Chaffins, of St. Marys, and two brothers, Jerry (Melissa) Shoffstall, of St. Marys, and Sidney Shoffstall, of Celina.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a sister, Betty Griffin, and a brother-in-law, Buddy Dials.
She was a homemaker and worked as a certified nursing assistant at Celina Manor Nursing Home and Valley Nursing Home. She enjoyed watching television and old western movies.
Services are at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Miller Funeral Home in St. Marys. Burial will follow at Buckland Cemetery.Calling is from 3 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
