James A. LaMarr, 75

James A. LaMarr, 75, of Waynesfield, died Wednesday afternoon, June 19, 2013, at Indian Lake, while boating.
He was born Aug. 19, 1937, in Allen County, the son of Gladys (Fullerton) and Edgar LaMarr, who preceded him in death. He was married to Sandra LaMarr, and she died Aug. 28, 1995.
Survivors include, three children, David LaMarr, of Florida, Paul LaMarr, of Australia, and Jennifer LaMarr, of Lubbock, Texas; six grandchildren; a brother, Dennis (Linda) LaMarr, of Wapakoneta; a sister, Judy (Terry) Rinehart, of Waynesfield; and a sister-in-law, Virginia LaMarr, of Wapakoneta.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Larry and Gerald LaMarr.
Jim worked as a financial adviser with IDS, of Lubbock, Texas. Prior to that he served 20 years in the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church. He also was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, Aerie#691, and the American Legion, Post #330, both of Wapakoneta. A 1955 graduate of Blume High School, he received a bachelor’s degree from Texas Tech University, in Lubbock, Texas. Jim was an avid golfer and enjoyed fishing, boating and canoeing.
The family plans to receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Bayliff & Eley Funeral Home, State Route 501, Wapakoneta.
Funeral services are to be at 8 p.m. Monday with the Rev. Michal Westbay. Graveside services are to be at a later date in the Resthaven Cemetery, in Lubbock, Texas, where military rites will be conducted.
