Jack Holbrook, 8

Jack Christian Holbrook, 8, of Cridersville, passed away at his home Thursday, July 14, 2011, after a long, courageous battle with cancer.
He was born March 23, 2003, in Lima, the son of Shannon Spencer, of Cridersville, who survives.
Also surviving are a sister, Grace; grandparents, Jon and Christy Golden, of Wapakoneta; great grandparents John and Diana Golden, of Wapakoneta; and an aunt Ashley Golden, of Wapakoneta, who Jack adored.
He attended Cridersville Elementary. He was also a member of Shawnee Community United Methodist Church.
He enjoyed playing with his many cars and trucks, riding his John Deere Gator at Grandma and Grandpa’s, bonfires with Grandpa Jon and playing Bay Blades and cars with friends Max and Xavier Bucher and Alyssa and Dalton Miller. Jack also enjoyed visits from Pastor Bryan Bucher, Judy Bucher and Eric and Krista Miller.
The family would like to thank Grand Lake St. Marys Hospice and Jack’s nurse, Karen, for her caring service, Make-A-Wish of Northwest Ohio, Pastor Bryan Bucher and Judy Bucher for their spiritual guidance and compassion, Krista Miller who was our special warrior during Jack’s illness and the Shawnee Community United Methodist Church for all their prayers, love and generosity.
Services are at 7 p.m. Monday at Shawnee Community United Methodist Church. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday July 18 at the church.
Contributions may be made to the family in care of Shawnee Community United Methodist Church.
