Irene Peters, 89, of Wapakoneta. died 11:46 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2012.
She was born Feb. 10, 1923 in New York City, to Rosa and George Baka, who preceded her in death. On May 29, 1954, she married John Peters, who preceded her in death.
Surviving are two sons, John R. Peters, of Lima, and Larry G. (Jean) Peters, of Wapakoneta; two daughters, Linda (Kenneth) Cartwright, of Columbus Grove, and Bonnie (Eugene) Rosenbeck, of Wapakoneta; 13 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Frank Fuller and Jerry Fuller; and two daughters, Rose Fuller and Susanna Fuller; a brother, George Baka; and two sisters, Mildred H. “Millie” Baka, and Anna Monroe.
Mrs. Peters was a homemaker and she enjoyed watching and feeding birds and squirrels.
Friends may call from 5to 7 p.m. Friday at Bayliff and Son Funeral Home in Cridersville.
Services are at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jonathan Spyker officiating. Burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery near Uniopolis.
