Irene Campbell, 88, formerly of Botkins, died at 5:45 a.m. Friday, April 12, 2013, at Roselawn Manor Nursing Home in Spencerville.
She was born Dec. 26, 1924, in Keyo, Wis. Her adopted parents were Matilda (Holtkamp) and Ed Knierim, who preceded her in death. On March 17, 1946, she married Joseph Campbell, who died Feb. 9, 1970.
Surviving are three children, Wayne Lee Campbell, of Botkins, Darlene (Roy) Dulebohn, of Wapakoneta, and Richard (Mary) Campbell, of Elida; four grandchildren, Cindy Dulebohn, of Wapakoneta, Libby (Brian) Pothast, of Wapakoneta, Amanda (Mike) Wilder, of Wapakoneta, and Daniel (Jenny) Campbell, of Leipsic; seven great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Mary Lou Campbell, of Berne, Ind.; and several nieces and nephews.
A homemaker, Mrs. Campbell was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ in Wapakoneta. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, flowers, needlepoint, and cooking.
Graveside funeral services are at 11 a.m. Monday at German Protestant Cemetery in New Bremen, with the Rev. Elaine Mikesell officiating.
Friends may call from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Monday at Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home in Spencerville.
