Hilda C. Ritter, 89

Hilda C. Ritter, 89, of Wapakoneta, died at 7 p.m., Friday, March 14, 2014, at Auglaize Acres. She was born March 27, 1924, in Auglaize County, the daughter of William P. and Cora A. (Presar) Ritter, who preceded her in death.

Survivors include a sister, Regina Ritter, of Wapakoneta, a sister-in-law, Jean Ritter, of Wapakoneta, a nephew and three nieces.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, John, Marion and Frederick “Fritz” Ritter.

Hilda had worked at Brown’s Dairy, Murphy’s 5 & 10, and Uhlman’s Dept. Store. She was a member of the St. Paul United Church of Christ, Wapakoneta, the Women’s Guild and Circle 1 of the church. She volunteered with the American Red Cross Blood Mobile and Auglaize Acres. She enjoyed gardening, especially flowers, and would show her flowers at the Auglaize County Fair.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Monday, March 17, 2014, at St. Paul United Church of Christ, Wapakoneta, with Pastor Becky Sunday officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenlawn Cemetery, Wapakoneta. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until time of service, Monday, at the church. Memorial contributions may be directed to the St. Paul United Church of Christ.
