Helen Lawrence

Helen Maxine Lawrence, 84, of Cridersville, died at 10:09 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 28, 2012, at Lima Memorial Health Care System.
She was born June 11, 1928, in Lima, the daughter of the late Ivan Baumgartner and Lydia Nungester Baumgartner Hanifin. On Oct. 1, 1947, she married Carl Eugene Lawrence, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, David (Kerry) Lawrence, of Las Vegas, Nev., and Steven (Sandra) Lawrence, of Wapakoneta; a daughter, Diane (Robert) Stombaugh, of Wapakoneta; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Mildred Roberts; and a half-brother, Paul Baumgartner.
Mrs. Lawrence worked at Nesbit Candy Store, EXCELLO Corporation, and Bayliff & Son Funeral Home. She was a long time church choir member at Cridersville United Methodist Church, 36 years as a Western Style square dancer with the Cridersville Squaranaders and the Silver Spurs clubs.
Services are at 2 p.m. Thursday at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home in Cridersville, with the Rev. Charles Martindell officiating. Burial will follow in Fort Amanda Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
