Helen Janelle (Jones) Mesarvey, 93, entered her heavenly home on Sunday, May 18, 2014. Janelle was born in Gutman, Ohio on Sept. 23, 1920, and resided in Springfield, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil, and daughter, Cynthia Garrett.
Janelle was a loving mother to surviving daughters, Darla Fitzwater (Glenn), Suellen Johnson and Mary Ann Cohen (Dennis), and was blessed with 12 grandchildren, Kimberly Zimmerman (Steven) Beisel, Shari Duncan, Colleen (Sam) Andes, Stephanie (Scott) Crowell, Melissa (Wesley) Case, Julia (Dwight) Gilbert, Leslie Johnson (Bert Plues), Christine (Mike) Shipley, David (Michelle) Garrett, Valerie Fry, Angelique (Chris) Haney and Heather (Lenny) Bliss; 19 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. They were the joy of her life.
Janelle enjoyed playing golf well into her 80s and loved to play bridge. She attended Grace Bible Church of Springfield and was a member of The Springfield Country Club. She graduated from Blume High School in Wapakoneta in 1938.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 10-11 a.m. Saturday, May 24, 2014, at the Littleton & Rue Funderal Home, where the celebration of Janelle’s life will be held at 11 a.m. with Rev. Scott William Crowell, Sparrow Fellowship in Erie, Penn. officiating. A private graveside service will be held for the family at Miami Valley Memory Gardens, Springboro, Ohio.
