Hanford “Hank” Martin, 67, of Middlesboro, Ky., passed away Friday, Aug. 10, 2012, at his home.
He was born in Clear Creek, Ky. on March 22, 1945, to the late Gladys (Mason) and Canis Dee Martin. He was a member of the Hensley Chapel Baptist Church.
Mr. Martin worked at Trim Treads, of Spencerville, for 35 years. He loved his family and the Lord.
He was married to Phyllis Martin for 35 years.
He is survived by their children, Steve (Kathy) Martin, of Wapakoneta, Pattie (Russ) Bailey, of St. Marys, and Michelle (Scott) Evans, of St. Marys; grandchildren, Beth (Rob) Seifley, Steven (Erika) Martin, Emily Martin, Sarah Bailey, Katie Martin, Stephanie Evans and Wyatt Bailey; brother, Jay Harold Martin; a sister, Berneda (Ron) Hawkey; a nephew, Gene Hawkey; and a special friend of nine years, Evelyn Seargent.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, at the Shumate Funeral Home Chapel, Middlesboro, Ky., with the Rev. Murphy Buell officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, at Shumate Funeral Home Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Hensley Chapel Baptist Church.
