Wapakoneta got on the board with a run in the bottom of the first inning. second baseman Alex Koch led off with a single and he promptly stole second. Following a fly out, Koch went to third when catcher Brandon Schreiber reached on an error. “The game should have been 0-0 into the fifth inning,” New Bremen ACME head coach Jack Gilberg said. “All three of the runs that they scored came with two outs. We have a young team and it comes down to the little things.”

In the second inning Wapakoneta increased their lead to 2-0. Third baseman Chace Culver led off with a single and he stole second. With two outs he scored on a single to left by Koch.

“You could tell we hadn’t played in four days,” Sammetinger said. “Today we got the hits at the right time. Lately we have been able to string hits together.”

It became 3-0 in the bottom of the fourth inning. With one out, center fielder Keaton Zwiebel reached on an error and stole second. Following a strikeout, Zwiebel scored on a single by Koch. In the game Koch was 3-3 with a walk. He scored twice and drove in two runs.
