GOLF: Trojans take 2nd in quad

CELINA — The Botkins Trojans varsity boys golf team finished a close second in a quad match Thursday at the Mercer County Elks Golf Club in Celina.
Botkins turned in a team score of 178, just one stroke behind winner Mississinawa Valley’s 177.
Fort Recovery was third at 187 and Houston fourth with a 218.
Adam Bornhorst led Botkins with a 38. Connor Bornhorst carded a 44. Seth Hanna turned in a 47. And Cory Kies rounded out the Trojans’ scoring with a 49.
The Trojans return to action Tuesday morning at 8:30 at New Bremen.
