GOLF: JV boys take 3rd

The Wapakoneta Redskins junior varsity boys golf team traveled to Arrowhead for a JV quad match with Minster, New Bremen and Marion Local.
"For being the first match of the season for the JV's, we played well," Wapak coach Ken Wayman said. "I thought we really did a nice job competing with the other teams."
The Redskins shot a team total of 192 and placed 3rd out of four teams. New Bremen won with a 178, followed by Minster 185, Wapak 192, and Marion Local 219.
Leading the way for Wapak were Nick Buchanan with a 45, Dan Bogan 47, Ryan Hunlock 48, Alex Gossard 52, Lucas Lightle 56, and Zach Miller 58.
Co Medalist went to New Bremen's Travis Bertlesen and Zach Hegemier with 41's.
