Gertrude Ripploh, 90

Gertrude E. Ripploh, 90, of Minster, died at 8:10 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2012, at Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Minster.
She was born Sept. 20, 1922, in Colifax, Ill., the daughter of the the late Stella (Fitzpatrick) and Richard Kelley. In 1943, she married her first husband Rex Deidrich, and he preceded her in death in 1958. On Jan. 2, 1961, in St. Marys, she married her second husband, William A. Ripploh and he preceded her in death Jan. 7, 2011.
Surviving are a son, Ted (Jennifer) Ripploh, of Minster; and seven daughters, Jeri Howard, of Wapakoneta, Christine Diedrich, of St. Marys, Joanne (Eugene) Schoenlein, of Wapakoneta, Jane (Clyde) Miller, of Minster, Carol Diedrich, of Minster, Lois (Robert) Dietz, of Botkins, and Paula (Mike) McGown, of Minster; a daughter-in-law, Anna Diedrich, of Celina; 24 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and two sisters, Ruth Finke, of St. Marys, and Betty Ann (Jim) Sampson, of St. Marys.
She was preceded in death a son, James Diedrich; a son-in-law, Michael Howard; a grandchild; and five brothers and sisters, Lucille Bailey, Bernard Kelley, Bernie Isenberger, Richard Kelley, and Frank Kelley.
She was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Minster. She was a member of Minster FOE Auxiliary 1391, Minster, American Legion Auxiliary, and was an officer of the Lake Loramie Improvement Association. She retired form Goodyear after 30 years of Service.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Minster, with the Rev. Rick Nieberding officiating. Burial will follow at St. Augustine Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday and 9 to 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Minster.
