George J. Rostorfer Jr., 90

George J. Rostorfer Jr., 90 of rural Wapakoneta died at 10:45 a.m. Aug. 10, 2012, at Heartland of Indian Lake, Lakeview after an extended illness.
He was born on Aug. 1, 1922, in Wapakoneta to Laura (Knoch) and George Rostorfer who preceded him in death.
On Nov. 7, 1947, he married Lorraine F. Ellis who survives.
Survivors also include two sons; Fred (Diane) and Frank (Debra) Rostorfer, both of Wapakoneta, five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, a brother and a sister.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Jill, and three sisters.
Mr. Rostorfer was a past employee of Ford Motor Company and was the owner of an excavating company as well as a farmer. He was also a veteran serving in the South Pacific during World War II.
Funeral services are scheduled to begin at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Schlosser Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Wapakoneta. Burial will follow at Mount Tabor Cemetery near Gutman with military rites being performed by the V.F.W. Post 8445.
Friends may call from 2-8 P.M. Monday at the funeral home.
