Gary Smith, 69

Gary A. Smith, 69, of Wapakoneta, died at 3:17 p.m. Monday, Aug. 27, 2012, at his residence.
He was born July 5, 1943, in Champagne County, the son of Parthenia and Alden Smith, who preceded him in death. On June 4, 1965, he married Linda C. Sparks, and she survives.
Also surviving are a daughter, Brenda (Ernie) Nuesmeyer, of Lima; seven grandchildren, Dylan, Dakota, Austin, Devon, Victor, Allison, and Hayley; a brother, Wayne (Pat) Smith, of Michigan; two sisters, Kay (Ed) Coffey, of South Carolina, and Priscilla (Ron) Goodwin, of Michigan.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Angela Koenig; a sister, Sue Yoder; and two brothers, Robert Bailey and Mike Smith.
He was a life member of the North American Hunting Club and a life member of the North American Fishing Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and watching football.
Services are at 11 a.m. Thurday at the Bayliff & Eley Funeral Home, St. Rt. 501, Wapakoneta. Burial will be in the King’s Creek Cemetery in Champagne County.
