Garry Cummins, 67, of Harrod, died at 12:24 p.m. Monday, April 1, 2013, in a truck accident.
He was born Oct. 25, 1945, in Bellefontaine, to the late Ida Ruth (Davis) Carl David Cummins. On Oct. 11, 1985, he married Kathryn Kay Harshbarger, who survives.
Also surviving are nine children, Wendy (Stanley) Langham, of Wellington, Darrell (Cindy) Cummins, of Harrod, Shawn (Bonnie) Cummins, of Wapakoneta, Ron Cummins, of Wapakoneta, Brian (Jenn) Cummins, of Lima, Rob (Jenise) Merricle, of Cridersville, Scott (Ashley) Merricle, of Cridersville, Lee (Lisa) Hale, of Spokane, Wash., and Scott Hale; 20 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; a twin brother, Larry (Ruth) Cummins; five sisters, Rose (Joe) Parker, Phyllis Hickes, Judy (Jack) Berning, Linda (Michael) Armitage, and Sandy Killian; and in-laws, Pam (Bob) Kirby and Jerry (Norma) Harshbarger.
He was preceded in death by a son, Carl Jay Cummins; and a sister-in-law, Sherry West.
Mr. Cummins was a mechanic and truck driver and a member of the Heidelberg Reformed Church. He was a member of the NRA and the Allen County Gun Club. His hobbies included playing cards, trap shooting, camping, automotive work, and he was an avid story teller.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home in Cridersville.
Funeral services are at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home in Cridersville, with the Rev. Bob Pepple officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Wapakoneta.
