Garman placed on 7-day disabled list

Brian Garman saw his time on the mound halted until next month, as the Wapakoneta native was placed on the 7-day disabled list Monday.

Garman is a pitcher for the Huntsville Stars, a Double-A minor league baseball team of the Southern League based in Huntsville, Ala.

Garman’s first win of the season came June 16 against the Chattanooga Lookouts in a 3-1 victory. He pitched one inning and did not allow a baserunner.

At the time he was placed on the DL, this season Garman had 1-0 record, a 4.25 ERA and 22 strikeouts.

Garman has now played part of two seasons with Huntsville.

He attended the University of Cincinnati and was drafted in 2010 by MLB's Milwaukee Brewers. The Stars are an affiliate of the Brewers.
