The final suspect involved with a 2014 murder of a Uniopolis man was sentenced to life in prison on Thursday in Auglaize County Common Pleas Court by Judge Frederick Peebles.

Joseph Furry, 30, of Van Wert received life imprisonment with the possibility of parole in 30 years for the charges of aggravated murder, aggravated burglary and intimidation of a witness. He is the final suspect charged with the murder of Charles Hicks to receive his sentence. Hicks was found dead in his apartment on June 9, 2014, after the suspects, Furry, Aaron Dietrich, and James Dinsmore broke into his apartment and beat him to death, prosecutors said, with his own rifle.
