An anticipation of more funding from the state is a highlight of the Wapakoneta City School’s five-year forecast, the district treasurer says.
District administrators are expecting to receive approximately $14.1 million in state funding for fiscal year 2014, thanks to a new funding model approved in House Bill 59, Wapakoneta City Schools Treasurer Angie Sparks said.
The expected funding is an increase of 6 1/4 percent from fiscal year 2013. State funding also is expected to increase in fiscal year 2015, with the district projected to receive more than $15.6 million — a 10 1/2 percent increase from the previous year.
