Frederick Alan "Al" Smith, 94

Frederick Alan “Al” Smith, 94, of Lima, died at 4:20 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2011, at Lost Creek Care Center.
He was born March 19, 1917, in Delphos, the son of Myrtle Etna (Westenbarger) and Frederick Percival Smith. On July 21, 1961, he married Martha Jane “Janie” Chamberlin who survives in Lima.
Also surviving are three sons, Charles Smith, of Lima, Dale Alan Smith, of Wilmington, Jeffrey Courtad, of Lima; and a daughter, Janice Sliemers, of Perrysburg.
He was preceded in death by a son, Lawrence Smith.
Services are at noon Monday at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home in Cridersville, with the Rev. Phyllis Fetzer officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Lima.
