Floras shine for Botkins at Eaton meet

Botkins’ Chloe Flora ran the sixth-fastest time in school history Saturday at the Eaton Invitational.

Her time of 19 minutes, 47 seconds placed her fourth overall in the race, as the Trojans finished 10th out of 12 teams.

Bethany Christman (41st; 22:57), Corinne Woodruff (70th; 24:16), Mackenzie Brown (72nd; 24:21) and Tayler Weatherhead (73rd; 24:21) rounded out Botkins’ scoring five.

Lakota Running Hawk (78th; 24:41) and Abbey Johnson (84th; 25:07) also ran for Botkins.

Boys 5th of 18

The Botkins boys cross country team ran its fastest race of the season Saturday, led by Cameron Flora’s sixth-place finish at 17:06.

Also finishing for Botkins were Austin Jones (16th; 17:33), Roger Miller (31st; 17:57), Aaron Fullenkamp (34th; 18:01) and Reid Manger (63rd; 19:07).

Lucas Buehler (71st; 19:19) and Drake Woodruff (72nd; 19:27) also competed for Botkins.

The Trojans will next compete in the Centerville Stampede on Saturday.
