Firework displays abound

Going out with a bang, the St. Joe Festival will conclude its Fourth of July activities with a fireworks display, beginning at 11 p.m. at the Auglaize County Fairgrounds. 

The grandstands will be opened up to those on the grounds for viewing. According to St. Joe Festival Chair Mike Wurst, the display has lasted an approximate half hour in previous years. Wurst said he has received “rave reviews” of the festival’s fireworks display.

Local area firework displays Friday, July 4 through Saturday, July 5, include: 

• The “Lima Star Spangled Spectacular” will conclude its events on Friday, July 4 with a fireworks display beginning at 10 p.m. at Faurot Park, at South Cole Street and Lakewood Avenue, in Lima.

The fireworks will be set off with patriotic music from the Lima Symphony Orchestra.
