Fire strikes Perry Street home

Fifteen firefighters from two fire departments responded to a blaze in Wapakoneta early Saturday morning.

Eight firefighters and two engines from the Wapakoneta Fire Department responded to 611 Perry St. at 12:17 a.m. Saturday with two EMTs in back-up. Seven firefighters from the Buckland Volunteer Fire Department provided mutual aide on the fire.

Senior firefighter Eric Snapp reported the fire was confined to an upstairs bedroom. Capt. Jeff Orphal was in charge at the scene. No report on the amount of damage is known at this time.

Snapp reported they cleared the scene at 2:15 a.m.

There were no reported injuries.
