Family finds intruder on couch

April 29, 2014

A family discovered a stranger on their couch when they woke up at 5:19 a.m. on Sunday, April 27 at 917 West Auglaize St., Wapakoneta.

Tasha Sheipline, 33, of the residence called police after noticing the intruder in the house. Sheipline said she had heard a noise around 3:30 a.m., but dismissed it, thinking it was her children.

When police arrived at the door of the residence, the intruder, Bryan Leonard 41, of 620 Cleveland Ave., St. Marys, unlocked the door for the officers.

Leonard was incarcerated at the Auglaize County Jail for burglary.
