Evelyn Ewing, 91

Evelyn C. Ewing, 91, of Wapakoneta, formerly of Waynesfield, died at 11:45 a.m. Monday, April 2, 2012, at the Gardens of Wapakoneta.
She was born March 2, 1921, in Waynesfield, to Sylvia (Bacome) and Hosea H. Horn. Both parents are deceased. On Dec. 24, 1941, she married Albert W. Ewing, and he died May 7, 1982.
Surviving are two sons, Dean D. (Darlene) Ewing, of Lima, and Gene (Renee) Ewing, of Waynesfield; two daughters, Diane (Robert, deceased) Trueblood, of Laguna Niguel, Calif., and Barbara Ewing, of Wilmington, Del.; 10 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; three great great-grandchildren; a sister, Helen Hefner, of Satsuna, Fla.; and a sister-in-law, Thelma Horn, of Wapakoneta.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Paul Horn, Gerald Horn, and Bill Horn; and two sisters, Dayle Cox and Betty Shaw.
She was a homemaker. She was a member of Faith United Methodist Church in Lima and had been a grocery store clerk. She had volunteered at the Allen County Red Cross.
Services are at 11 a.m. Thursday ay Bayliff & Son Funeral Home in Cridersville, the Rev. Jim Loescher officiating. Burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Contributions can be given to St. Rita’s Hospice, the American Red Cross or the activities fund at The Gardens at Wapakoneta.
