Eva DeLong, 88

Eva I. DeLong, 88, of Wapakoneta died at 12:45 p.m. Tuesday, April 10, 2012, at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima.
She was born Oct. 15, 1923, near Cridersville to Norma Fox and Russell Williams. On July 27, 1946, she married Clarence F. ‘Winnie” DeLong, and he preceded her in death April 17, 1995.
Surviving are a son, Dennis (Jean) DeLong, of Wapakoneta; three grandchildren, Doug (Kelli) DeLong, David (Ashley) DeLong and Michele (Rob) Seidel; and three great-grandsons, David Thomas, Grant Matthew and Ethan Alexander Seidel.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Warren Williams, who died in World War II, and Byron ‘Spark’ Williams.
She had been a secretary for Baldwin Lima Hamilton and a homemaker. She greatly enjoyed her grandchildren, great grandsons and going to horse shows. She was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church.
Services are at 10 a. m. Friday at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Cridersville, with the Rev. James C. Couser officiating. Burial will follow at St. Matthew Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p. m. Thursday at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home in Cridersville.
Contributions may be given to St. Matthew Lutheran Church or to the activities fund at Springview Manor.
