Elizabeth L. "Betty" Mouk, 66
Elizabeth L. â€śBettyâ€ť Mouk, 66, of 203 Warren St., Botkins, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Aug. 11, 2012, at 3:05 p.m. at the Kindred Hospital, in Lima.
Betty was born Feb. 24, 1946, in Lima, to the late Clem Limbert and Bertha (Ramge) Limbert. On Aug. 25, 1973, she married Kenneth L. Mouk, and he died April 21, 1999.
Betty is survived by one son, Adam K. (Amy) Mouk, of Oklahoma City, Okla.; grandchildren, Haleigh, Dylan and Damien Mouk; two step-grandchildren, Mac and Gabe Warnimont; one sister, Susan Mullins, of Wapakoneta; her mother-in-law, Marty Mouk, of Sidney; seven nieces and nephews; 13 great-nieces and nephews; and many great-great-nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Betty was preceded in death by one brother and sister-in-law, Clemens â€śBudâ€ť and Marie Limbert, and her father-in-law, Harold Mouk.
Betty graduated from St. Joe High School class of 1964 and was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church, in Botkins.
She retired from Wilson Memorial Hospital after 33 years of dedicated service and had prior service working at St. Ritaâ€™s, in Lima. She was a member of the Wapakoneta Eagles.
Betty loved her family; she was a devout historian and enjoyed researching her ancestry. She also enjoyed traveling throughout the United States, listening to blue grass music and crafting in her spare time.
Bettyâ€™s family would like to thank her primary care givers, Elaine Shuga and her husband Dan and sons, Joseph and Justin, for taking excellent and compassionate care of Betty.
A Mass of Christian Burial is to be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Immaculate Conception Church, 116 N. Mill St., in Botkins, with the Rev. Daniel Hunt serving as celebrant.
Burial is to follow in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery.
Family and friends may call at the Adams Funeral Home, 1401 Fair Road, Sidney, (Interstate 75, exit 90) from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in Bettyâ€™s memory. Envelopes are to be available at the funeral home and at the church.
