Elinor J. Koch

Elinor J. Koch, age 94 of Cridersville, died at 10:12 a.m., Wednesday, January 15, 2014 in Shawnee Manor Nursing Home. She was born July 9, 1919 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late William and Elsie Meder Klein. On March 26, 1938 she married William J. Koch who died March 2, 1993.

Mrs. Koch was a homemaker and a member of Cridersville United Methodist Church, where she was very involved with church activities. She loved traveling with her late husband, especially enjoying Hawaii, Alaska, Arizona, Florida, Texas, Tennessee, Arkansas, Canada, and cruising. She also enjoyed bowling, dancing, and doing crafts. Family was very important to Elinor, and she treasured time spent with them.

She is survived by children – Barbara A. (Ed) Mattson of Fort Worth, Texas; Bill A. (Rita) Koch of Wapakoneta; Russell C. (Cherri) Koch of Indiana; Judy L. (Bruce McCullough) McCarey of Wapakoneta; Debra J. (Dan) Kennedy of Lima; 15 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a sister – Sylvia Ford.

Funeral services will begin 10:30 a.m., Saturday, January 18, 2014 at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville. Pastor Jim Neighbors will officiate. Private family entombment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery Mausoleum.

The family will receive friends from 6:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Friday at the funeral home.
