Eldon D. Bowsher, 91, of Wapakoneta, died at 10:05 a.m., Friday at Wapakoneta Manor Nursing Home. He was born Oct. 23, 1922, in Lima, to Pearl and Clara Marie Puschel Bowhser. Â He married Jean M. Naumburg on June 11, 1945, and she survives in Wapakoneta.
Mr. Bowsher had been a clerk at Teledyne and had also been a carpenter and farmer. Â He was a member of Buckland United Church of Christ where he had held many offices. Â
He was a member of the Auglaize County Farm Bureau and a former board member of the Buckland School District. Â He enjoyed fishing and being outdoors.
Additional survivors include a son, Craig (Barbara) Bowsher of St. Marys; two daughters, Â Kathleen (David) Macwhinney of Celina and Patricia (Michael) Kohrn of Jackson,Tenn.; son-in-law, Randy Swink of The Villages, Fla.; eight grandchildren, Kraig, Kim, Tamara, Todd, Heather, Brandon, Kelly and Bryan; 15 great-grandchildren; a sister, Alice Kellerman of Buckland and a sister-in-law Annabelle Bowsher, of Wapakoneta.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Lora Swink, and a brother, Robert Bowsher.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Wednesday at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville.
The funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 27 at the funeral home, with Pastor Adrian Sunday officiating. Burial will follow in Buckland Cemetery.
