Eldon D. Bowsher, 91

Eldon D. Bowsher, 91, of Wapakoneta, died at 10:05 a.m., Friday at Wapakoneta Manor Nursing Home. He was born Oct. 23, 1922, in Lima, to Pearl and Clara Marie Puschel Bowhser.  He married Jean M. Naumburg on June 11, 1945, and she survives in Wapakoneta.

Mr. Bowsher had been a clerk at Teledyne and had also been a carpenter and farmer.  He was a member of Buckland United Church of Christ where he had held many offices.  

He was a member of the Auglaize County Farm Bureau and a former board member of the Buckland School District.  He enjoyed fishing and being outdoors.

Additional survivors include a son, Craig (Barbara) Bowsher of St. Marys; two daughters,  Kathleen (David) Macwhinney of Celina and Patricia (Michael) Kohrn of Jackson,Tenn.; son-in-law, Randy Swink of The Villages, Fla.; eight grandchildren, Kraig, Kim, Tamara, Todd, Heather, Brandon, Kelly and Bryan; 15 great-grandchildren; a sister, Alice Kellerman of Buckland and a sister-in-law Annabelle Bowsher, of Wapakoneta.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Lora Swink, and a brother, Robert Bowsher.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Wednesday at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville.

The funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 27 at the funeral home, with Pastor Adrian Sunday officiating. Burial will follow in Buckland Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be given to Buckland United Church of Christ or St. Rita’s Hospice.
