Elaine Stella Sheridan, 57

Elaine Stella Sheridan, 57, of South Solon, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 3, 2011 at the Springfield Regional Medical Center.
She was born on June 28, 1954 in Lima, the daughter of the late Ralph and Mary Carolyn (Jurosic) Fisher.
Elaine is survived by the love of her life and husband of 22 years, Ray Sheridan; brother, Bro. Joseph Fisher, C.PP.S; sisters and brothers-in-law, Linda and Mark Lunz, Anita and John Ankerman and Julia and Douglas Quay; numerous nieces, nephews and friends; and special friends, Wendy and Jim Voorhees.
Elaine was a wonderful lady who loved life and always put others before herself. She graduated from St. Joseph Catholic High School in Wapakoneta and received her bachelors and masters degrees from Bowling Green University. She retired after 26 years from Greenon school district where she was a Spanish teacher. She was an active member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in South Charleston where she sang in the choir and was a lector.
Elaine loved to travel and fish and will always be the favorite aunt to her nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 6, 2011 from 5-8 p.m. at Ingling Williams & Lewis Funeral Home-South Charleston, with prayers beginning at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, July 7, 2011 at 11 a.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 31 N. Chillicothe St. South Charleston, with the Rev. Tony Geraci officiating. Burial to follow at St. Charles Catholic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Elaine to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718 Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.jacksonlytle.com.
