Eileen Gierhart, 91

Eileen Marie Gierhart, 91, of Green Springs, and formerly of Lima and Bradenton, Fla., died at 5:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 27, 2011, at Elmwood Health Center in Green Springs.
She was born Feb. 21,1920, in Defiance, the daughter of Helen (Pocock) and John Diringer. Both parents are deceased. On June 29, 1942, she married Ralph Edward Gierhart, who died October 13, 2006.
Surviving are three sons, Ronald Edward (Karen) Gierhart, of Fremont, Timothy Lynn (Valerie) Gierhart, of Oswego, Ill., and David Arthur (Mary) Gierhart, of Clyde; a daughter, Janice Marie (Roy) Davisson, of Fremont; 15 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and a sister, Charlotte G. Crites, of Bradenton, Fla.
She was preceded in death by a brother, John Joseph Diringer Jr.
She was a homemaker, seamstress, and a beautician. She was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church in Fremont. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Fremont Chapter No. 133, initiated Oct. 22, 1964. She was confirmed at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lima on April 9, 1933, by the Pastor L. E. Albrecht. She was also a licensed cosmetologist.
Services are at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Matthew Lutheran Church., the Rev. James C. Couser officiating. Burial will follow at St. Matthew Lutheran Church.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home in Cridersville.
