The Wapakoneta High School Impulse Indoor Drumline will be competing in the Ohio Indoor Performance Association (OIPA) state championship competition this Saturday — a performance the group has been working toward since November.

“It’s a progression,” Impulse Indoor Drumline Director Steve Wimmers said. “We add more to our show as we do other competitions throughout the year to make it better. It gets better and longer as we add different things to improve on it.

“It’s a growing process from November until now.”

The competition will take place at Wapakoneta High School, and will feature 75 different percussion and color guard groups throughout Ohio. There will also be one ensemble from Richmond, Ind.
