Doyle V. Snider, 85

Doyle V. Snider, 85, of Lima died 12:15 p. m., Friday, April 27 at his residence.
He was born Jan. 19, 1927 in Unio-polis to Oscar and Nellie Butler Snider, who preceded him in death. He married Frances ‘Frankie’ Polick March 13, 1948 and she preceded him in death Dec. 26, 1993. He married Betty Kohli Sept. 16, 1995 and she survives in Lima.
Mr. Snider had been a brick layer and masonry contractor and worked with Burden Construction. He had served in the U. S. Army during WW II and was a life member of V. F. W. Post 1275. He also belonged to the Lima Moose, Eagles and American Legion.
Survivors include three sons, Dick D. (Linda) Snider, of Sidney, Larry (Cathy) Snider and Bradley (Carol Zapp) Snider, both of Lima, a daughter Jean Ann Adams, of Jackson, three step-children, Debra (Ralph) Basham, of Lima, Karleen (David) Buchanan, of Findlay, and Gary (Linda) Kohli, of New Jersey; nine grandchildren, 12 step-grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren, 20 step-great-grandchildren and one great-great-step-grandson; four brothers, Bud Snider, of Wapakoneta, Barry Snider, of Beaverdam, and Danny (Mary) Snider, of Wapakoneta, and Jerry (Pat) Snider, of Toledo, three sisters, Mary Metz, Peggy Satterfield, both of Wapakoneta, and Helen Spyker of Texas.
He was preceded in death by a son Timmy Snider, grandchildren Shawn Snider and Nickcole Snider, a son-in-law Joseph Adams and a brother Dutch Snider.
Funeral services will begin 10:30 a. m. Monday April 30 at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville. Burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery near Uniopolis with Military rites by V. F. W. Post 8445.
The family will receive friends 2- 8 p. m., Sunday at the funeral home.
