Doris Frey

Doris M. Frey, 73, of Lima, died at 9:58 p.m. Nov. 5, 2011, at her residence.
She was born Nov. 15, 1937, in Clay Township, Auglaize County, the daughter of Cleo (Lillard) and Howard Shoffstall. On Feb. 5, 1957, she married James L. Frey, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Alan (Ellen) Frey, of Wapakoneta, and Brian (Molli) Frey, of Wapakoneta; five daughters, LaRoyce (Keith) Miller, of Wapakoneta, Kamille (Ron) Becker, of Wapakoneta, Felecia (Bob) Adams, of Cridersville, Brendala (Scott) Anspaugh, of Wapakoneta, and Jacqueline (Bruce) Carpenter, of Wapakoneta; 17 grandchildren, Erica (John) Goodman, K.C. (Lindsey) Becker, Autumn (Schayn) Adams, Britney (John) Jenkins, JoShua and Trevor Frey, Kodi (Andy) Moser, Windy (Ryan) Taylor, Abraham, Ashley, Luke and Rachel Adams, Jon Anspaugh, Wyatt, Carter, Levi, and Maddilyn Frey, 12 great-grandchildren, Caimin and Ciaran Goodman, Kelsey and Kaylee Huggins, Rhyan and Aubrey Rosebrook, Lilly and Branson Jenkins, Mason and Colton Becker, Mylie Moser, Jozie Taylor, four step-grandchildren, Amy Miller, Nick (Kim) Miller, Keith Hemmert, and Kristin King; three step-great-grandchildren, J.J. Jenkins, Trejen Miller, Keaton Miller; a brother, Kenneth Shoffstall, of Lakeview; three sisters-in-law, Dorothy Frey, of Cridersville, Vicki (Jay) Siebert, of Spencerville, and Edith Rivers, of Cridersville; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Michelle Frey and Roberta Adams; three brothers-in-law, Robert Frey, Earl Frey, and Bob Rivers, and two sisters-in-law, Mary Jane Shoffstall and Roberta Mumaugh.
She was a wonderful and caring mother. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Bluelick Bible Church and was the founder of the Ten Commandments Project. She was an advanced Emergency Medical Technician with the St. Johns Volunteer Fire Department for 12 years.
Services are at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Bluelick Bible Church, with the Rev. Jim Neighbors officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Tabor Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Chiles-Laman Funeral Home-Shawnee Chapel and 9-10 a.m. Wednesday at the church.
