Donald Shroyer, 64

Donald E. Shroyer, 64, of Wapakoneta, died at 12:25 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2011, at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima.
He was born April 5, 1947, in Bellefontaine, the son of Jennie (Miller) and Donald C. Shroyer, who preceded him in death. On Jan. 14, 1967, he married Patricia K. Evans, and she survives in Wapakoneta.
Survivors include a son, Jason E. (Karen) Shroyer, of Bellbrook; three grandchildren, Courtnie W. Shroyer, Caleb J. Shroyer and Trevor J. Sanders; three brothers, Victor Shroyer, of Wapakoneta, Joseph (Roseiale) Shroyer, of Leesburg, Fla., and Robert Shroyer, of Lima; two sisters, Sharon Young, of Wapakoneta, and Linda (Tim) Young, of Van Wert; two sisters-in-law, Molly Shroyer and Lila Shroyer, both of Wapakoneta; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Richard Shroyer, Howard Shroyer, Terry Shroyer; and two sisters, Carolyn Day and Karen Shroyer.
Don was a truck driver for more than 40 years, having retired from Linde Gases in 2010. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served from 1967 to 1969.
Services are at 11 a.m., Saturday at Bayliff & Eley Funeral Home in Wapakoneta.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday and from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
