Donald E. Shively, 62

Donald E. Shively, 62, of rural Wapakoneta, died at 5:11 p.m., Monday, Dec. 9, 2013, at St. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima, following a sudden illness. He was born Oct. 12, 1951, in Lima, the son of Wavel & Anna (Huckemeyer) Shively. His mother survives in Kossuth, and his father is deceased.
Other survivors include, his life partner, Carolyn Stolzenburg; a son, Jayson E. Shively, of St. Marys; a grandson, Kayden E. Shively; two sisters, Maryann (Andy) Andrews, of Wapakoneta, and Wilma Dyer, of Kossuth; Carolyn’s sons, Rick & Adam Stolzenburg.
A farmer, Donald worked as ASE Master-Tech mechanic at Brinkman’s Service, Minster. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, Aerie #767, St. Marys. He enjoyed farming and playing with his grandson, Kayden.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home, with Dr. David Williams officiating. Burial is to follow in the Kossuth Cemetery.
The family will receive friends 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m., Friday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be directed to the charity of the donor’s choice.
