The Auglaize Family Practice Center is currently undergoing a remodel in an effort to create a more inviting environment for patients, Office Administrator Amy Hoyt said.
Before starting the remodel, a wall separated the receptionist area from the patient waiting room. Patients who walked in would speak to the receptionist through a glass window and would have to pass through a narrow hallway before entering the staff area.
The wall has since been knocked down, making the waiting area more open and creating a more interactive environment between patients and staff.
“It’s more of an open design so patients feel more welcome,” Hoyt said. “There are no longer any barriers between patients and ourselves when they come in.”
