A female driving a black SUV experienced a rollover accident heading south on county Road 25A a little after 8 a.m.
State Trooper Jeremiah Smith was the second to arrive on the scene and as far as they can tell at this time the driver drifted over the centerline of the road.
“Well we’re gathering at this time that the individual driving the SUV drifted to the left of the center line, realized she was in the left lane, over-corrected and that’s what brought her over into the ditch and rolled a couple of times,” Smith said.
Smith said the ditch is probably what caused the car to roll backward multiple times.
“More than likely yes, because there’s spots, evidence that shows that she hit the ditch and then that’s what sent her in the air,” Smith said.
The age and name of the female were not released at this time. She was taken to Grand Lake Health System: Medical Center in St. Marys for her injuries to be assessed. Smith believes she only sustained minor injuries.
On scene at the accident were the State Troopers, Cridersville Police Chief Drake, the Wapakoneta Fire Department and Cridersville Fire Department.
