Dinner supports area cancer group

October 30, 2013

ST. MARYS — All year long, the Cancer Association of Auglaize County (CAAC) provides nourishment for cancer patients who are losing weight due to treatment, but Friday the group will feed the community at large while raising the money to support those patients for the rest of the year.
Its annual spaghetti dinner, in its 10th year, is set for 4:30 to 7 p.m. Friday at the St. Marys Eagles Club.
CAAC Director Betty “BJ” Hansbrough said the most important thing to know about the association is that all the money for the organization is raised by local donations that stay in the county to help local cancer patients, regardless of income or circumstances, survive and recover from cancer.
For more information on the Cancer Association, see the Wednesday, Oct. 30 edition of the Wapakoneta Daily News.
