Detective awarded for integrity, service

January 24, 2014

A local official has been recognized for his achievements through his work and willingness to help the Wapakoneta Police Department make strides throughout 2013.

Wapakoneta Police Department Detective Patrick Green, 28, was presented with the “Police Officer of the Year” award on Tuesday by the Alvin W. Metzger VFW #8445.

“It was a great honor to be recognized as the law enforcement officer of the year,” Green said, “and it’s because I’m surrounded by a lot of good workers, good law enforcement in the area. We work as a team, and it says a lot for our area.”

Green has been working at the police department for six years, three of which he has been working on investigations.
