Community Markets in Wapakoneta invited locals to celebrate its 50th anniversary with special deals and activities at the Food & Fun Festival on Saturday, Aug. 23, at the store.

Katie Hostler, Community Markets Fun Fest organizer, said the 50th anniversary marks a significant milestone for the company. She said Community Markets is hosting similar celebrations at each of its stores, which span across Ohio and into Indiana.

“To just have all the customers celebrate with us, have a good time, bring people into the store and just celebrate our 50th anniversary,” Hostler said.

Market employees grilled brats outside and sold special deals inside the store for customers throughout the day.
