Summertime in Cridersville means it is time to put the Bowsher Log Cabin to use and remind community members how days of old used to be.

The Rally Around the Cabin, Pioneer Days events during each month of the summer season give residents the opportunity to gain historical perspective, have a family-friendly event to attend and lend a helping hand to those in need.

Through sponsorships from the Cridersville Historical Society, Cridersville Fire Department and the Cridersville Healthcare Center residents are treated to a variety of experiences.

Rally Around the Cabin begins Thursday, June 19 from 5 to 7 p.m. with a lesson in frontier cooking skills and butter making and churning.
