The Cridersville Police Department gained two new police officers who will be going through training during the next few weeks.
Police Chief John Drake brought in the new officers to avoid staff overtime issues throughout the department.
“We lost a couple officers in the last six months,” Drake said. “I like to keep my numbers around 10 part-timers.”
Drake said the department has lost six officers in the past 18 months.
For more information on the new Cridersville officers, see the Saturday, Sept. 21 edition of the Wapakoneta Daily News.
