Clarence L. Landt, 92

Clarence L. Landt, 92, of Wapakoneta, died at 11:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 29, 2014, at Kindred Hospital in Lima. He was born in Glenbrook, Iowa, the son of Edwin and Elsie (Luchie) Landt, who preceded him in death. On May 23, 1945, he married Irene Roop, and she died Aug. 29, 1973.

Survivors include three children, Terry Landt, of Wapakoneta, Larry Landt, of Elkton, Ohio, and Janice Landt, of Iowa, and two granddaughters, Kendra and Rochelle.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Arlo Landt.

Clarence retired in 1987 from Wapakoneta Machine Co. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army.  He was also a member of Harvest Baptist Church in Wapakoneta and loved horses.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 2, 2014, at the Bayliff & Eley Funeral Home, Wapakoneta. Burial is to follow in the Greenlawn Cemetery, Wapakoneta, where military rites will be conducted by the Wapakoneta V.F.W., Post #8445.
