The Wapakoneta Dog Park is getting closer to completion.
Travis Rohrbach’s Eagle Scout project received a major donation Tuesday that will go a long way to build the fencing Rohrbach needs to all but complete the project.
The donation of $500 from Glenna McCormick of Guild the Lily in Wapakoneta was given in memory of Glenna’s late husband, Bill.
Bill McCormick, who died in 2010, was a volunteer and founding member of the Auglaize County Humane Society.
According to his obituary, Bill’s love for animals was the main objective in his life. From 1988 to 2008, he served as the county’s Humane Agent and checked on all animal cruelty cases in the county during that period.
“He would have been proud to make this donation to the dog park. We are thrilled that Travis has undertaken this project,” McCormick said.
