Church plans inaugural Eggstravaganza

The Wapakoneta Church of the Nazarene will hold its first ever Community Easter Eggstravaganza on Saturday, featuring a black light Easter egg hunt and several other activities for children up to grade five and their families.

The church is located on the corner of Benton and Court Streets, and the event will run from 1 to 3 p.m.

Senior Pastor Stephen Ambrose said the event was planned as a way to engage with members of the community.

“We really want to love our community and get to know the folks who live around here,” Ambrose said. “We wanted to provide a free event for the community to try and get to know our neighbors and friends.”

The idea for an Easter egg hunt came about before Ambrose even accepted a position at the church.
