Choir inspires community

December 18, 2013

Wapakoneta students sing for their annual winter choral performance.

Wapakoneta students helped the community get into the holiday spirit with their annual holiday choral performance.

“Singing in a Winter Wonderland” was performed by the Wapakoneta Middle School and Wapakoneta High School choirs Tuesday evening.

Parents, students’ families and community members filled nearly every seat in the district’s Performing Arts Center to hear students sing holiday favorites, including “Let it Snow,” “I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas,” “Jingle Bell Rock,” “Baby It’s Cold Outside,” among many others.

Choir Director Tim Smith led the high school’s treble and symphonic choirs, along with the 6th, 7th and 8th grade choirs. Dennis Kratzer accompanied Smith on the piano.
