Charles McKinniss, 80

Charles “Roger” McKinniss, 80, of Ray, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2011, at the Laurels of Worthington.
He was born Sept. 13, 1931, in Coalton, the son of the late Frances Clark McCamic and Charles McKinniss. He married Rosemary Mehrle McKinniss, who survives.
Also survivng are two sons, Charles McKinniss and Eric (Tammy) McKinniss; three daughters, Kathleen McKinniss, Amelia McKinniss and Jennifer (Ken) Padgett; two brothers, Larry (Rosemary) McKinniss and Chester McKinniss; a sister, Crystal (Don) Cook; 21 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death was a grandson, Tyler Craft; and his father and mother-in-law, Carl and Helen Mehrle.
He served in the Army during the Korean Conflict. “Paw Paw” loved his 21 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
Memorial mass is planned for 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Ladislas Catholic Church, 277 Reeb Ave., Columbus. Interment will be at a later date.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Newcomer Funeral Home NE Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Rd., Columbus.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Korean War Veterans Association in Columbus.
