Charles E. ‘Charley’ Webb, Sr., 80

Charles E. ‘Charley’ Webb, Sr., 80,  died at 3:20 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 27, at Auglaize Acres in Wapakoneta.

He was born Feb. 16, 1933, in Wapakoneta, to Florence Freideger and Pearl Webb.

Surviving are a son, Charles E. ‘Charley’ Webb Jr. of Lima; a daughter, Annette Elaine Volz, of Toledo; five grandchildren; a brother, James (Shirley) Webb, of Wapakoneta; and three sisters,  Edna (Glenn) Steed, of Wapakoneta, Mary (Jack) Selover, of Turlock, Claif., and Sharon (Dave) Erb, of Arlington.

He was preceded in death by a brother, William Webb.

Mr. Webb had been the Landfill Superintendent for the City of Wapakoneta for 31 years.

He was the former owner of Webb’s Motorcycle Repair, also British Motorcycle Repair. He was a member of Eagles Lodge Aerie 691 and was known as a Ford Truck Man. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and cutting wood.

A memorial service will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, March 10, at the Wapakoneta Eagles.
